What is scooter grip tape?
The grip tape ensures a stable hold and makes it easier to catch your deck. Only with high-quality scooter grip tape will your feet have the necessary grip on the scooter deck.
How do I change a griptape?
The grip tape naturally wears out over time and then needs to be replaced. To apply new grip tape, first remove the old tape, heat it with a hair dryer and peel it off. Then clean the surface thoroughly so that no residue remains and the new grip tape sticks well. You can stick the new grip tape on and cut off the protruding parts. Use a piece of metal to trace the edges before cutting. It's easier if you remove the rear wheel and brake first.
When purchasing, pay attention to the size of the grip tape, as not all of them fit on every deck. If you drive a particularly long and wide deck, you will also need correspondingly large grip tape.
